Guys, I am having major issues with my iPhone 5 on iOS 7.0.4. I am facing constant call drops, lose my 3G connection and do not get any network. It is happening too frequently and is driving me nuts. I have another iPhone 4S with the same network provider and that has no issues at all. I use both phones in exactly the same locations. I am facing this problem for the last 8-10 days and I am very worried! Please help!!! Oh and also, my phone is not in warranty anymore. :-(

Reset all settings? Reinstall?

My 5S on AT&T is not nearly as good as my 4S was, but newer is not always better. It will make calls so that's better than nothing.

I've had nothing but problems with my i5 even when it was running on iOS6 when it comes to signal strength and dropped calls. Worst phone I've ever had for making calls.

iOS 7 has too many issues. Never faced this on Apple products. I also have a MacBook Pro mid-2012. Faces a lot of issues. Apple has lost out on its quality.

Our IOS 7 devices don't have this issue. How did you determine that it's the OS?

I have been issued a new sim card, my service has been reset by the network carrier. This issue did not arise till iOS 7.0.4. Call drops did happen, but not this frequently.

If the phone is still in warranty, take it to Apple store and have them exchange it.
I had a "bad" iPhone 5 and had to do this when "nothing" AT&T or Apple could do would fix an iMessage problem (new sim, restores, reset service)

Unfortunately, it has been more than a year and I do not have the extended warranty. I would have gotten it exchanged if it was. Now I have to try restoring it first! :-(

Still, take it to an Apple Store if you can. They will most likely run a diagnostic on your phone which will break down any logged call drops into one of three categories:
  1. Call drops (Device)
  2. Call drops (network)
  3. Call drops (other)

This way, you'll at least be able to get some more information on the issue.

Ok. Thanks a lot. Will do that!
