Call Failed vs Call Ended? Which one is a dropped call

Is Call Failed = Dropped call? I just had another "Call Failed" with my iphone 4 (probably the 10 the one since I purchased it about 20 days ago). Does anyone know if it's network/phone or other person when it is call failed?

It's your end. Call Ended is theirs.

Call Failed = something on your side ended the call (dropped call most likely)
Call Ended = something on the other side ended the call (could be a dropped call or hangup)

Thanks for the reply. Follow up question, is there anywhere in iphone where it keeps a log of Call Failed? I might get a replacement and to do that I may need to show them this log...

They should be able to see this in their diagnostic software.

call ended also happens if you end a call with your face ie via proximity sensor turning the screen on.

this has happened to me when i try to prop the phone between my face and shoulders.
