I don’t see any recent threads about call filtering. Right now I am using Verizon call filter and it works OK. But I am so sick of spam calls. Is there any new or better options for me? I tried a few but it’s been years. I always hear about Robokiller. While the Verizon option is only three dollars a month. I’m definitely willing to pay for something if it’s better.

I’ve never found any of those apps to be helpful. The only solution I found that works is a bit extreme. Turn on Silence Unknown Callers. This requires you to add to contacts anyone that calls you. It also requires not having any extra calller ID service from the carrier. If they’re not in your contacts, they go to voicemail. For me people would leave a voicemail or text if it was a new number.

I realize this option is not good for some people that receive a lot of calls from work colleagues, customers, etc.

I so wish I could do that, to just silence unknown callers would be great. But unfortunately, I do use my phone to schedule things for a side business so I regularly get calls that are unknown, but are not spam.

I guess it just bothers me so much that the phone company won’t put it into it, because I 100% believe they could. My mom died over four years ago and I’m constantly getting calls for her, plus I’m getting calls for me, and I’m just sick of it

I’ll check those out, thanks. Or are they only in France and don’t work in the US?

Being in the US app store I guess they would work , though in Begone I cant see a US community list to dowload but it might be because where I am 🤷‍♀️

US, Hiya. Used to use that in the past and used to be the backend for ATT's call blocker app (might still be: no longer see any reference on ATT's page to Hiya).

On ATT, their Active Armor app works great and free. Way better than Verizon's free app imo (I put Verizon on a family member's phone, very meh).
