Call Forwarding Symbol

Nothing too bad, but I notice that every now and then, the call forwarding symbol appears on my iPhone 5, and when I go to the settings to switch it off, I see that it is off and the symbol goes away.

Is this a known bug?

I have the same issue with EE. You can get it "temporarily" fixed by going to your call forwarding settings. However it will appear again after you restarted your phone

I'm on 3 so not sure if it's network-specific.

Yeah the issue goes away when I go to the settings but I don't understand why it appears in the first place.
