this morning I ordered an unlocked iPhone 4 from the Irish Apple online store, about 20mins later, I get a call, asking to confirm my email, my address, last 4 digits of my credit card and the location where its from? is this normal practice? just a bit worried tbh.

Doesn't sound normal practice. Did the order go through ok? WHo did they say they were and did you give them your details?

That does sound weird.

Did you ask for the iphone to be delivered to a secondary address or something ?

Did you get an confirmation e mail confirming your order ??

I got an confirmation and its shipped now?
It just seemed strange, I only provided one address but two mobile numbers could that be it?

There are a couple of threads about this very thing. It first began happening during the weekend of initial deliveries 09/21 and was viewed as suspicious. Apparently it is aboveboard so you can stop worrying. If you want to read any of the previous discussions regarding same, scroll back thru the threads and look for a title similar to yours. :)
