Hi,

I've had an issue with my iPhone battery so an Apple rep advised doing a software restore to eliminate any software problems.

I initially erased all contents and settings but then realised I needed to use the Restore feature on my Mac.

However, after setting my phone back up from scratch (with no MacBook or iCloud backup, I do have my Contacts and Calendar stored in iCloud though) I still have my recent phone history on the device.

Are there any reasons why this would happen? Keen to do a proper reinstall of iOS so don't want to continue setting up my phone.

Thanks :)

It's happened to me numerous times. Not sure why, and it would always restore really old call logs from many years back but not any newer ones. It wasn't a lot, maybe like 4... Also did it with pictures I've deleted a long time ago and somehow were still in icloud even though I've always had that off
