I could care less whatever the next phone is called and whatever else it has in it, if it has a 4" screen or more, I'll buy it. Otherwise I will not. I'm sure sure why anything else of a "redesign" matters. I don't really care if it is slightly thinner or tapered or what type of back it has - I'm not sure why any of that matters to anyone.

Oh yeah, I'd also love 64GB, but that ain't gonna happen.

You had to make a new thread for this? It seems you just posted your opinion/decision and desires without any real lead in on a discussion.

Yes, the discussion point is what makes for a "redesign". The only thing that seems important to everyone is the larger screen. If that not sure, then post your opinion, otherwise ignore the thread.

I must admit I too want a larger screen but along with that I want extra upgrades too, Processor, Camera etc.

I wouldn't buy a new iPhone if all I was getting was a larger screen.

A change in design is not necessary for me either. If it has the A5, 8MP camera and a LARGER SCREEN, even if it looked exactly like the iPhone 4 i'll be in line!

I assume it's a "given" that the new phone will have an A5 processor and an 8 MP camera. I was talking about what OTHER important thing would make it a "redesign".

I would but I do prefer a complete upgrade

Everything snowballs from a bigger screen. There will have to be a redesign to wrap around a 4" screen. It won't be square because that would be terrible to hold in a larger phone. A new shell will take care of the antenna problem too. You'll also get the new processor to run everything.

Without a larger screen, you'll get the same brick shape with new camera and chip. Big whoop when the 4 is fast enough already and has a damn good camera as is.

Bigger screen is #1 for me. The 3.5" screen it has now is too small in my opinion. The rest is just gravy.

I second this. I believe it's a given that the A5 is going to be there. It would be nice if i had 1GB of RAM, but bigger screen is a must for me as well. I find that 4" is perfect for my uses. They don't have to make the phone any bigger, just make the screen bigger. The resolution can stay the same too. An extra 0.5 Inch's isn't going to kill the DPI enough for me to care.

so they are going to release iOS5 running on an iPhone 4S? Does that mean that iOS6 will be running on an iPhone 5? This is not going to happen. We will see an iPhone 5 in a few weeks.
