I have been really jammed up about this whole 1.1.1 thing. Soooooooooo, I went to AT&T and took a shot that they were selling iPhones with old firmware. Well I bought one and it has 1.0 on it!!! I'm hacking again!

So I do have an 8GB iPhone with 1.1.1 that I will be selling if anyone is interested... PM me if you are. Just thought I'd share.:)

Moron, you could have downgraded to 1.0.2.

Downgrading doesnt really work right now. You can get the apps back but the phone part remains unusable.

To angrygolfer,

I love you man.

Warmest Regards,

That's not true at all. I've downgraded mine and the phone works just fine, as do all the apps I've re-installed.

and, sometime this month, Leopard will be released and if you update to Leopard there will be a new version of iTunes that will require you to update your iPhone for any further support.

Any previous version of iTunes will not run under Leopard.

not true. I'm running leopard which has the same version of itunes as everyone else 7.4.2 (4) and I also have downgraded my iphone from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2. The phone function works (because i have at&t) and itunes doesn't require the software update on the phone.

Re: Call me Crazy!!!!

Why call you that?

I'd much rather hunt you down, and have it tattooed into your forehead, as a warning to everyone else in the room.

Did you unlock your phone prior to unlocking it? that might help me, since my phones dead, i was thinking of updating then degrading again so i can use it. Plase explain how your proccess went through id really like to do that on my phone.

and in two months, Apple is releasing new iPhones with 2.0.1, 3G, flash, 16 GB and Apple stock. :p

I find that hard to believe, if they were launching 3G it would have been anounced for the Euro models, 16gb and 32gb I see in the next year.

yes you have a new shiny scratch-free iPhone, but someone's not going to buy your old used, scratched iPhone for the same price, thus you're still losing money. :)

How's that NDA working out for you?

I don't think I would hold my breath either.

Well I did buy it on day one. However, considering that I received $200 back from American Express AND a $100 credit back from Apple, once I sell it I'll be pretty close to breaking even.

Ditto!! Thanks Angry Golfer!

30 Dollars is just around the amount you pay for tax.... and I do not think you can re sale it for retail.

Your right you can never add the tax on those things, plus i payed overnight so another $16 i loose.
