I'm sure there have been other threads but I had trouble with the search.

I've had my phone about 18 months and I see my lifetime call usage is 2 days, 21 hours. I was kind of shocked to see that I've spent nearly three days of my life talking on the freaking phone.

I consider myself a very limited talker on the phone, I prefer face to face talk. Seeing it laid out as a digital record of the time I've spent talking is alarming to me. I'm also pretty sure that others spend even larger sums of their time on the phone, so I'm curious.

How many hours are in your lifetime mobile usage? How many days spent talking?

3 days 9 hours over 16 months. I rarely use the phone, but I did date someone for a few months during that period which is probably when my usage went up

As per my iPhone, a few thousand years. But more like a few hours. I very much dislike talking on my phone.

around 32 months - 6 days 3 hours. I was surprised to see this because my conversations are typically very short

Does doing a factory reset and wiping the phone change this? I got a iPhone 4 used off Craigslist in October and it was only a month old.. I did a factory reset before putting my stuff on it but its showing 11 days 14 hours... I talk on the phone but I didn't think that much in 8 months.

Yes, but if you restore from a backup the old numbers are carried over from your old iPhone through the backup.

perhaps the lifetime stats...

perhaps the lifetime stats come from the sim card. I got a replacement phone from apple and it says lifetime talk 25 days. It either carried over from my backup restore or from the old sim card.

SIM cards are not able to store that kind of information. It was carried over with your backup, where it is stored.

My lifetime usage is 12 days 5 hours over the course of a few years.

That's hilarious, just looked at mine and it's 12 days, 11 hours. OP - If you restore from a backup it carries over the previous life usage time, so could be from the previous phone's usage.
