but i dont know if i should trust them with this information...i called twice and got the same information both times. they said my phone will be coming on the 24th and that back-ordered means that those who have that message means that ur order is actually in for the order that has not yet arrived to att.
 
AT&T just told me that every AT&T order is shipping on the 24th and will be received the 25th. They said no order will ship before the 24th. Lol!!!
 
I want the new iPhone as much as the next guy, but people need to just relax.

The demand is obviously high and both Apple and AT&T are trying to figure out how to fulfill orders promptly.
 
I think u should call a few more times to make sure. To make really, really, really sure...
 
I'm pretty sure that when you speak to them, they put a note in your account as to what they told you so when you call back, the next CSR will look at the notes to be sure that they are trying to give you consistent information. Even if the information isn't accurate, at least it's consistent. :p

I've talked to AT&T 3 times today and went to a store. I ordered well before the cut off. Just saying what I was told. 4 times.
 
So what we've learned today is that nobody knows anything because AT&T's own staff can't get their stories straight. Outstanding.

I agree, I would really, really, really be sure some more... and if that don't work talk to another ATT employee in the store and start the really really sure process over again.. If that don't work go back to the first employee and repeat..


I mean this is life or death to get the Iphone 4 on the 24th and not on the 2nd of July..Important stuff. I would want to know exactly when I'm getting the phone as well, like the exact time and everything.
 
I hope he really really really made sure he was getting this phone on the 24th... Because if ATT tell him it won't 24th he might really really really cry about it.
 
They told me the same thing the on the 15th when I pre-ordered. I would get the phone on the 24th.

But it if shows up on the 25th good enuff. At least I got one and I am not going to freak out over 1-2 days.
 
Yeah guys, you're better off w/ a magic 8 ball than AT&T support. These guys are bozos, 5 different reps will give you 5 different answers.
 
LMAO you believed them. I just quit asking and plan to enjoy my weekend because all this worrying is giving me a headache. Like I said I can handle a day delay and would prefer it as it would give me time to grab my brothers iPhone without worries and not have to hear him whine about a late July before he gets his. I'm worried about them stating it'll be Monday as I will be gone for two weeks. :mad:

LOL. No, I kept talking to them because I'm trying to cancel my preorder. They *still* can't seem to do it, either. So I gave up and told my credit card to reject the charge. Morons. :(
