Does anyone have experience setting up a wireless network using Airport and static IPs? I would like to setup a wireless server and assign it a static IP. It is only necessary for the server to have a static IP.

I don't believe that the Airport Admin Utility alone will allow me to do this. Is this possible using just the Airport Base Station? Or, will I need to purchase a separate router and setup the Airport Base as a bridge? If so, is there a router or manufacturer that is recommended for this type of setup?

As always, thanks for your assistance!

you assign the server a static ip address by "Manually" instead of using "DHCP" under network in the preferences menu. it the same on windows or linux. you won't have to touch the airport.

one more thing, i believe the d-link routers will allow you do want to do on the router level. it will let you assign static ips based on a nic's (network interface card) MAC address (MAC not Mac). this is nice you if like to tinker and reinstall an OS a lot.
