I finally broke down and bought one... I've been eyeing this thing for a while and the novelty of it finally won me over and I got one.
My question to you guys is this- what do you use yours for? Right now I've got the global settings set to let me control iTunes by having it use the key combinations that I have setup in Sizzlingkeys, which lets me control it no matter what app I'm in. I find myself going through my playlists manually a lot, so it's a cool way of doing it rather than contorting my hands into a key combo.
Anyway, I've read in several reviews about people talking about since you can use AppleScript with it, that you could program it to have its LED pulse when you get a new mail. I would love this feature but after a bit of searching I can't find anywhere that has done this. I'd really like to get it configured to work with Thunderbird if possible.
And finally, are there any sites out there that have user-made scripts for the PowerMate? I'd really like to see what other people are using them for and what functionality you can get out of it.
