My 8800 is shipping. Yay! I am looking to get RAM from either OWC or locally. There is a place here called Melrose Mac in Hollywood that has slightly higher prices on RAM than OWC. Is it worth it for peace of mind to get it in the area so that I can swap it out if need be? Has anyone used them? Thanks in advance!

You could try Memory To Go. I just ordered some RAM for a very good price (even less than OWC and Newegg). Been buying from them for years--no complaints. They are in Socal.

I buy all my RAM from newegg.com. They are one of the most highly-respected online electronics vendors, and they are also pretty local. If you order from them today, Wednesday morning, you'll end up with the RAM tomorrow.
