It's been stated many times that these forums over-emphasize negative feedback because happy Apple product owners are less likely to post than people who have something to complain about. I'd like to change that.
I propose starting polls for each new Apple hardware model (desktops/laptops/iPads/iPhones et al - beginning here with the Macbook Pro - that give customers a chance to post their continued satisfaction with their device as the years march on. Let's demonstrate that many many customers continue to use their Apple devices for years - even beyond their Applecare expiration dates.
I am not sure how best to implement this idea based on poll techniques offered in the forum - but I imagine each poll to be a sticky. And I call upon forum members who have demonstrated their creativity in starting polls - recently people such as; PracticalMac | GeekGuys | Ozaz | DryEyez and may others - to start actual polls for each Mac model - to provide visibility into the number of years/months (before/beyond the end of Applecare) that users remain satisfied with their device(s).
I will happily contribute to the polls created for the 2 iPods, 2 iMacs, 3 MBPs, 1 Mac Mini and 2 iPhones my family has purchased beginning in 2005.
Let's use this thread to design the contents of the polls.
Help me make it so!!!
