Title says it all really...about to start on a diet and exercise kick and thought it would be useful to count calories using an iPhone app....looks like there are some good ones out there but they are all US centric (measurements in Cups, American brands, etc.)
Are there any UK based apps that anyone can recommend?

Thanks,
Mark

I use an app (and website) called myfitnesspal.com which is free.

It allows you to track your food intake, either by product or ingredient (i.e. a bag of crisps, to a ready-meal, to a slice of bread, etc). It suffers from a similar issue that the geo-services do (e.g. foursquare, facebook places), in that you can sometimes have multiple entries for one item, but this is useful at times, as it may have entries shown in US measurements (Cups!) and grams. If there is anything that you cant find, you can add your own using the details from the packet.

It also allows you to track your exercise, so you know how much of your calorie intake that you are offsetting by exercise. You can set goals, etc, too and keep track of your weight/measurements.

Hope this helps.
