Hi folks, I'm in market for an Apple Watch series 2... I'm planning to use it mainly for fitness at the gym and notifications. I'm currently wearing a FitBit charge 2 and I like the fact it tracks my sleep and calories expenditure while I sleep.

I'm reading that AW doesn't last a full day, so my question is... if I charge the Apple Watch at night, how does it track my calories in the health app?

"Sleep" calories burned are mostly BMR calories and :apple:Watch is more about tracking activity burned calories and the Activity app is even named ....well Activity app.

Sorry, I meant Health app - not activity app. I've modified my post. Is the health app calculating resting calories while the apple watch is charging?
