Cam not working

when i go to use my photo booth... or use my cam online with websites such as stickam.com it gives me the cam with a slash threw it or is just black. my green light dosent come on nither.

ive tried edditing the settings to the other webcams i apparently have. it always use to work with the USB video classic video but now it wont work at all... how do i fix my built in sight!?

Sites like stickam are designed for Windows. I think they can work with OS X, but I don't have experiecne there so I can't really help. If you have Parallels, it should work there.

Check System Profiler under the USB section of Hardware. See if the iSight is shown under the USB High-Speed Bus. If it is, try iMovie or the iChat audio/video preferences, either of which should get input from the camera. Also try another user account. If the iSight isn't detected you could try an SMC reset which usually fixes the issue when the camera is not shown.
