Camera apps take a picture icon....

Why does the icon to take a picture in the camera app have to be so small ? There's been times when I have almost dropped the phone trying to hit that tiny icon whilst in a strange pose.

There must be a better way.

Don't know what else could be done - has to be something that doesn't disturb the image, so shake to snap is out!

there is an app in the store with the ability to take a picture by tapping anywhere on the screen. cant remember what it is called

The 'photo zoom' app and 'night cam' app both give you options for a 'tap anywhere on the screen' shutter.

while i agree the camera icon is in a really hard to reach place, a tap anywhere on teh screen solution would interfere with the 3GS's tap to focus feature
