Has anyone bought a cheap lightning adapter from ebay and tried it with the 30-pin camera kit?

I have. Those adapters only work for charging for me, not audio or data. Hopefully someone can link to one that works like Apple's.

I believe the ones from monoprice.com work for data as well as charging, but I haven't tried them myself.

Data and charging is usually specified. Its the camera connector that i am unsure about. Is that considered data?

Why don't you just buy a cheap lightning bolt camera connection kit. That's what I did, cost less than £5 and works perfectly.

I already have the 30-pin camera kit.

If I can buy a $3 adapter that also works for charging, great. But the $10 for the camera kit which may or may not work and not useful for charging is not as good of an option.
