Anyone else find that they take a video instead of a photo with the camera control button? I am finding that it takes such a firm press to snap a photo that I inadvertently end up holding it long enough to start a video instead. The cure would be the ability to increase the delay before starting a video but I don't see that option for the "firm press"??

I quit using it the day after. Its just quicker to use the onscreen controls, zoom with your thumb, take a photo, and do the edits afterwards.

Agreed, it should be adjustable.

After using it for a while longer, I have decided the real issue is twofold....

1. The button really is a bit stiffer than it needs to be.

2. The delay before switching to video is too short.

What happens to me is that I have to press so hard to click the button that it is difficult to release quickly and smoothly without either holding the button long enough that it starts a video -or- it moves / jiggles the phone, disturbing the framing. Or if in low light, causing camera movement artifacts.

All my experience so far is with aftermarket cases that have a cutout that exposes the actual camera control button. Is the experience any better with an Apple case with the conductive button?

Ive been wondering how good it works with the apple case as well

Is there any way to make holding the button take burst photos instead of a video? That would be way more camera-like.

I do a lot of QuickTake videos, I think the delay is too long. Maybe my reflexes are just stronger, but I press the shutter button quick enough I’ve never had it accidentally take a video. I would prefer to make it faster to respond to QuickTake video. When the action button was the camera it had no problem distinguishing between QuickTake and a photo.
