I have three iOS7 phones to hand (5s, 5, 4s).

On all three, if I set the camera flash to "on", and take a picture, the flash only fires if I take the picture with the screen button, and never if I take the pic with with the volume "+" button.

Is this design or bug or fault? I never noticed this on iOS6 but don't use flash much so may have missed it.

Can anyone else try this out please?

iPhone 5s, flash fires as expected when pushing + button to take the picture.

Yep, it's also working fine on my various Apple toys, all on 7.0.2

And I have all of the same models that you do.

OK some progress here......I was holding it wrong ;)

On the iPhone 5s (new yesterday) I was holding the + button down a bit too long and it was going into burst mode. If I use a shorter push the flash fires.

On the iPhone 5 and 4s, a similar situation. 4s and 5 do not have burst mode of course, but they do still take pics continuously while + is held down. A shorter press fires the flash. A slower press seems to make it think it is going to be in continuos mode so no flash, even if only one pic is taken.
