camera freezes on iPhone 6s

When I open the camera app on my iPhone 6s, it often freezes for 3-4 seconds. It happens quite frequently and is very annoying. I've searched the problem online found quite a few complaints from other users, but I could not find a definite solution.

I have the most recent iOS. Resetting all settings did not work for me. I also saw posts from other users saying that restoring a phone and setting it up as new did not help either.

Does anyone has any suggestions?

I am up to date with the latest version: ios 10.2.1

I think my phone stopped doing that after a few updates. I tried to reproduce the issue (which used to be quite frequent) for a few days, but the camera works fine.

Good luck with a solution, I started a case regarding this exact issue with Apple Care Senior Advisor a looooong time ago, problem has been an issue in iOS 8, 9, and 10. I have wiped/restored a number of times with no progress and nobody at Apple has ever done a thing about this problem. To boot I have had this issue on several devices and a friend of mine has also experienced the same issue.

Yeah I called Apple and (of course) they told me it wasn't a common issue. This is really frustrating as I am in a 1 1/2 month trip right now and would like to use my camera more then at home AND I have no access to an Apple store... Is there a new update planned anytime soon?! I guess that would be my only chance.
