Camera geotagging and location services

If I turn off camera location services will my photos still get geotagged but using cell and wifi if available?

I like the idea of geotagging and would settle for slightly less accurate tags and more battery life.

I used the camera a lot recently and I saw gps icon lingering a lot after the photos had been taken. GPS really drains the battery for me.
