Camera opening issues?

A friend of mine got a black 32 GB iPhone 5 two days ago. He showed me the phone today and when e opened the camera it just went to a blue screen and glitches out. Like the camera is broken or not connected fully. Anyone hear of this or experience it? Wee done full restores so its not iOS 6 I don't believe.

Hardware issue then if you did a restore and it consist to be the same. Replace it.
