Camera photos off centre

Here's my problem.
Whenever I use zoom on my camera, rear facing camera. The picture I see in the screen is not the one saved.
The picture appears off centre so I don't get the picture I want.

However, if I open the camera app through the lock screen, the camera is not off centre when I zoom.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm having the same problem. Is there a way to solve this? And does it happen on every iphone 5?
