Camera Roll Photo/Video Backup to iPhoto

Hi there -

As we know, we can backup iPhone data elements to different apps on your Computer/Mac e.g.

Calendar -> iCal
Contacts -> Address Book on Mac
Mail -> Mail on Mac
etc.

Is there any way I can map my iPhone Camera roll to iPhoto so that whenever I sync my iPhone in iTunes, it automatically backs up Camera roll to iPhoto?

I really find this thing important as many times I have lost my pics after restore.

I know when you backup your iPhone it copies camera roll items too (in its backup) but I have lost my iPhone backup for some mysterious reason after restore/upgrade.

Also, I find backing up camera roll to iPhoto more logical than backing up it in iTunes backup.


So, is there any way apart from manually backing up camera roll to iPhoto?

My camera roll backs up to iPhoto. And then when I sync with iTunes it put the photos back on in my photo library.
