Camera Roll Sync Issue

Hi all, I am new to the Apple world and seem to have difficulty syncing my images.

When I take a photo on the phone it goes into the Camera Roll. Then when I sync it, the photo does not get copied/synced to the folder I have provided.

How on earth do you get the photos from Camera Roll into the Photo Library, with out using a file manager like Explorer ?

Hope there is an easy answer.

iTunes does not sync the camera roll. I use an App on my mac to pull of the pictures.
