iPhone 11 Pro Camera Takes Pictures with All 3 Lenses?

Hello all,

I showed my new iPhone 11 Pro Max to my brother-in-law, and he was wondering if the camera takes pictures using all 3 lenses so that you'll get 3 photos from all distances. I kind of explained to him that it doesn't, but the iPhone uses data from the 3 lenses to take a shot. Did I explain it right?

Now though, I'm wondering the same thing he was. Can it take photos from all 3 lenses at the same time? Just like the Filmic Pro app that was demoed, but for photos. Is there an app that does this, or will do it?

You mean triple shot? It can't do it? I'm interested as I haven't played with the phone.
