Cameral Roll Problem (no thumbnails)

When I go to photos -> camera roll

all i see is a black block where the thumbnails are supposed to be. if i click on them i get a picture but i cant see which one i am choosing. I tried restarting the phone and closing the photo app in multitasking

Some people are claiming that it happened already with 4.0 but I am quite sure that the error came with 4.0.1 here with my iPhone 3G (never jb, 359 photos in camera roll).

I hope Apple fixes that soon.

happened to me couple times before i update to 4.0.1

I was able to replicate the issue by deleting any picture in my camera roll.
After deleting a picture, all you see if a black screen. If u look at the camera roll in thumbnail view, it shows up as a black square.

Goes away after i restart the phone.

Hadnt been able to reproduce it anymore after the 4.0.1 update.
