can it run on a 1.83ghz macbook core duo?? I plugged it in with the mini dvi to dvi and it doesnt work.

Everymac.com says it can support a 23" ACD at 1920x1200.

I've connected the mini dvi into the macbook and the 23" ACD but its not picking up but it does pick up the usb and the external keyboard + mouse works.

Did you detect monitors under the Display System Preference pane? The monitor should communicate its presence automatically though.

Oh you have to do it in preference?? I thought it automatically connects.. is it under display?
