Every street light and moon in the pics I’ve seen so far have the same ole haze around them just like every previous pic with iPhone.

I have the X and I’ve never been able to take just a good pic of a full moon without haze and not crystal clear....really crazy and I’m seeing pics posted online in every mode the new iPhones have and still same ole haze. Fix that Apple, then you can say Pro or even yea...

Um, well. First thing I want to suggest you is using a good enough telescope if you used to take moon photo directly from the iPhone. The ccd on your iPhone is so small, the light reflected from the moon is not bright enough for your iPhone to generate a clear shot.

If you are using telescope, maybe get one that better supports smartphone sized lenses. My 2c.

Yeah the sensor is just too tiny to capture what at that distance is really just a few pixels wide. I'm with you. It would probably take incredible photos mounted on a telescope eyepiece.

I took this photo with a 1200mm lens. Are you saying you expect a smartphone to be able to achieve this same shot?!

Yes it can... if you take the shot from the window of a space ship in orbit.

But yes, it’s just too far away for such a little sensor and lens.
