Can a 2012 MBP logic board replace a 2011 MBP one?

It seems my early 2011 MBP has suffered from radeongate, and since Apple hasn't acknowledged the issue, and from what I've heard, all the replacements have been with other faulty logic boards, is it possible to replace it with a 2012 model?

From what I remember, the overall layout of the '11s and the '12s are identical. You shouldn't have any problems installing the '12 board in an '11 topcase.

If I do remember correctly though, the '12s use a different airport card, so the connector from the card to the logic board may be different. I don't have the service guide readily available, but you ought to make it work. Be mindful that you may need other parts as well.

As above the board layouts are the same. Luckily the connectors for the airport cards are the same so you should be ok to swap.

In the past apple usually tweaks the layout just enough so swapping logic boards is not feasible. If I were a betting man, I'd say it may not fit
