Can a 2g iTouch 32GB be upgraded to 4.0

and jailbreak... I heard that 4.02 cannot be jailbroken. If so how do I do it? I am currently on 3.0 now jailbroken... and thought of getting to 4.0 for multitasking and the folder creation thing... any help is appreciated... or a site I can know more?

There are 4.0 jailbreaks. Google it. And also, jailbreaking? You just guaranteed yourself a spot on Jobs' naughty list.

I have a 32g 2nd gen touch jailbroken on 4.0.2 using redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5. Read Update 8\11\2010 here and there is a download link for redsn0w at the bottom of the page.

You can update to iOS 4.0.2 and jailbreak since you have a second generation iPod touch. Jailbreak using redsn0w and point it to the iOS 4.0 IPSW file
