My MBP 15" (April 2008 model) just died. I had it running on battery and the battery drained completely and my mac died. so i plugged it back in, waited a minute or two and pressed the space bar to reactivate it. It did make some noise, but the screen stayed black; so I cold started it and it turned on but no chime. I had the logic board replaced twice and it seems this logic board is dead now too. My question is, could the battery be faulty and kill my logic board? I am absolutely devastated, I need the MBP for work and I live in Botswana, which means I have to make a trip to South Africa to get it fixed.
