Not true. I had to have my Macbook Air sent out twice already, once for a replacement aluminum bottom (the piece with the keyboard and trackpad), and once for the screen bezel.

Thats only when they dont have the parts in stock, or when theres a backlog of repairs to complete, in all other situations they can do all repairs in house.
