Hi, I own a new iMac. Today, internet and almost everything being wireless, can a hacker or a neighbor access to my computer’s camera and see what I look like, or can they watch my screen and see what I have on the desktop, or see what sites I visit. I’m not paranoid, just curious,

If you have Screen Sharing turned on in System Preferences, someone could guess your password and watch your screen. They would have to remotely open Photo Booth or a camera application to watch you, and you would see it. Your iSight light would be on too.

If you connect to the internet over Wifi and use no encryption or WEP, then it's possible for people in the nearby vicinity to get a pretty good idea of what you're doing on the internet. You don't necessarily have to watch someone's screen to see what websites they go to and get passwords on insecure connections.
