Hi guys,
I am trying to determine whether or not this Windows 7 Install USB I just created works or not, in particular whether or not it is "bootable". I notice that all my Windows 7 Install DVD's show up in OS X's boot device manager (holding down option on startup), leading me to believe that they are "bootable", but the Win 7 Install USB does show up in device manager. The USB installer I am testing was created from an iso ripped from my Windows install DVD, using MS's USB Install Tool (done on a Windows VM). Now obviously the best way to truly test it is to try to boot a true Windows machine with it since that's ultimately what it will be used for, but I'd rather not since its quite cumbersome to mess with BIOS boot order settings, which I'd rather avoid if possible. So basically, is the fact that it does not show up in OS X boot manager evidence enough that it's not bootable?
Thanks for any advice,
