Can a Verizon iPad 2 be made to work on a regional CDMA network?

I'm planning a move to Alaska, where Verizon coverage isn't great but their local CDMA carrier is quite good. My question is whether or not the Verizon iPad is an unlocked CDMA device, or if it can only be used on Verizon.

Doubt it. Unless they use the same band.... and even then it would require flashing.... so errr... yeah.... look into iPhone Verizon flashing. If they can do it for the iPhone, they might be able to do it for iPad.
