Can Add-on purchased through an App be shared?

My wife and I both share an itunes account. When one of us purchases an app the other can then use it also at no charge. Is this also the case with add-ons to apps that are purchased through the app itself?

If you're using the same app store account, then yes

But not all.
Those requiring a subscription tied to your device ID (eg: TomTom HD Traffic) will not work on other devices. Some of those can be transferred.
