I'll be buying an AirPort Extreme Base Station to connect by Ethernet cable to our switch. Can I use a second AirPort Extreme base station two floors up, uncabled, instead of an AirPort Express?

I'm hoping that the second unit would offer better signal strength than an Airport Express, particularly if I equipped it with a unidirectional antenna aimed at the first unit.

I found the answer

From the AirPort Extreme home page:

"You can also extend the range of your network through wireless bridging. With wireless bridging, one AirPort Extreme Base Station communicates wirelessly with another AirPort Extreme Base Station that has a physical Internet connection to increase your wireless network area.(3) No need to deal with the expense or inconvenience of additional cables."
