Long story...had a PC with a blurry display. Picked up a cheap Norwood Micro 17" flat LCD. Hooked it to the PC, turned it on, and for a split second, I could see the desktop, but then dark again. Finally, plugged in the old monitor and hot swapped to the new...BINGO. And forever after, the display came alive. BTW, you cannot actually get drivers for this display.
Fast forward...got a new 20" AL iMac. Got the Mini DVI-VGA adapter. BUt uh oh, same problem as I had on the PC. SO I tried the hot swap again using my still to be recycled old blurry extra monitor. No dice. A flash of screen when I swap to the flat Norwood and then dark.
A real stumper I think. If I can't solve it, well, at least it was only a $99 monitor. I just want some extra real estate if I can get it. Anybody have an idea how to get my iMac to really see this thing?
