Can an Apple Watch running watchOS 26 beta 8 pair with an iPhone that’s on the official (non‑beta) release of iOS 26?

Yes, official builds and releases of iOS software supersede beta versions.
For instance, an Apple Watch may have older watchOS versions while an iPhone has newer iOS versions. However, if the vice versa were the case, with an iPhone running iOS 18 and the Watch on a beta version, it wouldn’t work.
My phone is on the last PB while my watch is still on WatchOS 11x and everything still works.
