Can an iBook purchased for an iPad be read on an iPhone?

I ask because the iPad was stolen and probably won't be replaced very soon. I'd like to read the book, I have the iBook app on my iPhone, but the book doesn't show up there..

I should add that the laptop that synched with the iPad was stolen as well. But since the iTunes store has a record of my purchase...

If after syncing it at home and it still doesn't sow, try contacting apple.

As always, be calm, rational when dealing with customer service of any kind and they will want to help you.
