I know some previous models of MacBook Pros have had some issues with Ableton Live where the dedicated gpu would kick in, causing it to get hot with loud fan noise. There really should be no reason for a Ableton Live to use dedicated graphics, it's just a music production app. I want to know if this might be an issue for the new 2016 model gpus

Also, does google chrome have this issue as well?

My son runs Ableton on his 2015 I will ask him if the dedicated card kicks in. He never mentioned the issue to me.

I could have sworn that you can do it in the system preferences under energy saver.
