Please see attached photo. Under only very specific lighting (I think polarized lighting) a smudgy pattern is visible on the back glass. I don't see it in sunlight/natural light/normal light. I don't have another phone to test to see if this is normal behavior or something unusual. Would anyone else be able to check this? Much appreciated!!

Strength in numbers! If many phones do this it’s not something to worry about.. Right? Right?? 😂

For over a decade I’ve come to MacRumors to discuss my most nitpicky issues.

I would say this is a "problem" with the light source, not the phone.

I actually have a variable polarisation light source and couldn't replicate this in any way with any kind of polarisation.

:( that is not promising.

I have seen the effect in different rooms and different lights. It’s not due just to one light or something.

Looks like tension in the glass, very normal in glasses and sunglasses as well. It’s more or less impossible to combine a metal frame and glass without getting some tension in the glass, I wouldn’t worry
