Can anyone confirm if with the AT&T or T-Mobile iPad you can use a verizon or sprint sim card? Being that it's one model for all carriers now.
Thanks
I would like to know this as well. But the GSM Carriers iPads don't have MEID #'s stitched to them that would be required to use Sprint's/Verizon's service.
I know. But the back of the AT&T iPads say CDMA compatible. I haven't opened the plastic yet because I may want to sell it.
I might have a clue. Does your IMEI begin with 9900XXX, or 99XXX?
Att & T-Mobile ipads don't have the specific programing needed for Verizion or Sprint. It's not just the sim. Both have a policy of not accepting "outsider" devices. Not technological, policy.
LTE works with verizon on AT&T iPad
Confirmed
Same goes with tmobile ipad
Sprint might be another story. Someone will need to test that out
Surprised verizon is allowing this. Usually they're a pain in the a** with this stuff
Can you confirm that putting an unactivated Verizon SIM in an AT&T iPad makes the Verizon activation app appear in Settings-Cellular Data-View Account?
Awesome! So these iPads are basically interchangeable. If Verizon allows other iPads on their networks, best bet for broadest compatibility might be Sprint, then. At least with Verizon, you can still get their SIM card from ebay. With Sprint, nada.I can't because I already activated but I'm 100% sure it will work because in the verizon ipad AT&T activation screen and tmobile activation screens come up no issue
