Just curious to see which part of it indicates your place 'in line'.. Granted we don't know where it started, but I ordered one phone at 9 AM on the 15th, that order number starts w/ a 5, I ordered mine 15 minutes later, and that number starts with a 3. Two other people ordered after I did..

Any thoughts?

Mines start with a 606 and I rodered min at 6:44am it shows up on at&t at 722am. I ordered through AT&T.com on the 15th

I'm just curious about it; is it a random string of numbers or does it indicate anything.

As for your question. This has been asked many times before on these forums plus others. Apples system uses different number start points for different locations but order numbers are not specific to iphone orders.

Guys n gals I totally don't have an attitude; I don't see the point in posting a reply that says 'stupid question'.

In grade school our teacher told us there were never any stupid questions, but this is a truly stupid question.

why would you ever want to decode somethign this scientific?

do you think it means anytthing? (IT DOESNT)
do you think youre some sort of "MATH WIZ" (YOU ARENT)
so just give it up and let the chips fall as tehy may (THEY WILL ANYWAY!!)

my order number is totally different than all of the ones posted above and actually contains some sort of charater that just looks like heiroglyphics to me !! LOL or pig latin or wahtever ! lol POINT IS it doesnt MATTER!!!!! just let apple do its thing and CHILL

MAC_RUMOR has it that the order numbers are randomized so they CANT BE CRACKED!! its like a code that no human could ever learn or understand. SO QUIT IT

jeez, give the OP a break. He had a question. If you can't answer it then don't say anything. So what if he asked a dumb question. It's not like Arn clubs 10 baby seals every time a new thread is opened....

Let's do this

iPhone madness has driven everyone insane! Control yourselves people! :D

I haven't the slightest clue as to what those numbers could mean, OP. :(

One of the dumbest posts I've ever read. This is the logic that decrypting the algorithm software companies make up to create their registration keys is based on. Yet there are still a plethora of keygens out there.
