macOS Can anyone help me program something simple - I think? Involves Adium

What I want to accomplish: (simplified)

An icon with a person's face (I can do that myself using img2icns)
When I click it, an Adium chat window opens (conversation with the person on the icon)


Is something like this possible? How?
And if so, would it be possible to make a smart folder displaying only the online contacts?
