Hi...

can anyone help me how to imput an equation onto my calculator.

the calculation is a simple Nernst equation working out resting membrane potentials, and even though I do understand the concept I just don't really know how to use my calcuator properly to get the correct answer!

58mv/1 log (20)/(400) = -75

I have a calculator that looks something like this btw http://www.casio.com/products/Calculators_&_Dictionaries/Scientific_&_Financial/FX-300ES/

cheers

on a similar Casio fx-83ES

I entered:

5 8 ÷ 1 log ( 2 0 ) ÷ ( 4 0 0 ) ) =

and it returned:

-75.45973975

you are awsome... it worked!!

I had been trying all sorts of combos in my calculator and none worked

thank you!
