Can anyone please suggest a camera I can use for Skype on my rMBP?

I have a late 2013 rMBP.

I connect it to a external monitor and need a camera to attach to the monitor so I can skype.

I need the camera to be compatible with my rMBP.

Any suggestions highly appreciated! Am looking low cost but decent resolution.

Just buy any of amazon mate. All cameras are at least 720p and 5mp at least, more than enough for Skype.

Ok but will it work for Mac? Is it by USB?

Most of them are USB and it should be mentioned in the description if the camera has mac compatible drivers.

No, man. It's a minefield. I'd love to hear from anyone who has a current Mac OS and a usb camera that is working well for Skype or iMovie.

I've had this. Was it plug and play for you, or did you need to load drivers? I couldn't get it to work with the latest Mac OS's.
